Elizabeth Yates
felted wool
My fiber work is an exploration of color combinations and textures. Designs are inspired by the abundance of beauty in nature. Needle felting wool has become a passion. I'm enthralled by the endless possibilities of color combinations, getting lost in the meditative process for hours of pure delight.

copper fire paintings
Inspired by nature, our work is an evolution of exploring copper. Intrigued by the versatility of the material, we have spent the last 30 years discovering multiple ways to color copper using patinas and heat reduction techniques. More recently, we have focused solely on coloring copper using a flame. Beautiful iridescent colors appear when heating copper with a torch. The slight unpredictability and flow of the torch lends to their ethereal feeling. Due to the nature of achieving colors this way, we are still learning and perfecting.
