Susan Frisbee
Susan Frisbee creates handcrafted sterling silver jewelry in her studio on Riverdale Farm, the Frisbee family farm on the West Branch of the Delaware River in Delhi.
After attaining her Masters degree from SUNY New Paltz, Susan’s work focused on ceramic pottery and sculpture and she began a teaching career in the Upper Hudson Valley. Her interest in silversmithing and stone-setting began after her move to Delhi in 2015. Many of the same concepts that informed the architecture of her ceramic sculptures are equally represented in her jewelry. She uses hand-forming techniques to cut, shape, solder and refine each original piece. Semi-precious stones from the American Southwest adorn many pieces. Her work has been described as casually elegant—comfortable and ever-appropriate.
Susan balances work at the bench with her day job as the director of the Cannon Free Library in Delhi.
She hopes that you will enjoy wearing her pieces or giving them as gifts.
