Robin Briguglio
Robin Briguglio designs

" Robin's glass art and papered home décor and ornaments are stellar and magical"
~ Lori D.
Stunning reverse glass art pieces, one of a kind & hand crafted. Exotic papers are laid over glass, crystal, porcelain, ceramic, and other surfaces to produce meticulously designed patterns. All are water resistant and functional.
I am a 4th generation artist & designer. Since 1875, my family has seen a succession of printers, designers, editors, and publishers. Paper is what I was most drawn to.
It was my father who taught me about the intricacies of paper. He would hand me a periodical, color plates in books, or a high quality magazine, and encourage me to 'see' and feel differences among the papers.
Today, my sources for paper are not just in U.S, but places like Japan, Wales, Brazil, Spain & Australia. Some are organic! Materials range from bark, pulp, hemp, bamboo, rice, cotton, mango, to banana. Mulberry, Birch, and Bamboo trees also.
These beautiful silk screened, decoratively patterned, papers are Chiyogami, Yuzen, Himalayan, Lokti, Katazome, Washi, Washi Batik, Nepalese, Florentine, Thai, Hanji, Marbled, Unyru, Momi, Kinwashi, and Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
I also uses acrylic paints, India ink, gold leaf in my glass designs.
"Each piece tells a story. I describe my artwork as 'settings of my memoirs, landscapes to my future, and a world of
precious stories."
