MARY RAYMOND
As a child I loved jewelry, which I believe was passed on to me by my maternal grandmother. A wonderful woman who immigrated to the US in the 1930's from Europe and who would always bring me from an early age a piece of jewelry when she would visit.
Later in life, and by accident, I discovered that I could make jewelry while on a trip to San Francisco. I stumbled on a bead store while searching for a jewelry designer I liked. It has been the best discovery I ever made! The rest is history...
The beads and jewelry components are the stars of my jewelry. I am just the conduit! I let them direct the pieces I make. I have beads from all over the world, both vintage and modern.
I live in Unadilla and have my very own room devoted to creating my pieces.
I am thrilled to have discovered The Artisans' Guild and to be a part of it!
