Kim L’Heureux
Pottery
Clay became the passion of KimL’Heureux in 1977, finding home and inspiration
in the Butternut Valley of upstate NY.
She is committed to the traditional process of ceramics; making clay & glazes from scratch,
throwing pots on a kickwheel, and firing in reduction “flame” kilns.
You might say she likes to “play with fire”.
Her work includes high-fire: stoneware and salt-fired pottery, low-fire: raku, and naked raku.
The abstract etching of her recent work invites you to imagine being lost
in the gardens and landscapes of upstate NY.
