Maureen Pawlikowski has been a photography enthusiast her entire life. Since "discovering" digital, after being loyal to her 35 mm and all its paraphernalia for many years, all Maureen had to do was step out her backyard to begin documenting a disappearing way of life---the family farm.
Maureen and her husband Ken own Breezy Meadows Farm, in Otego, New York, where they raise grassfed beef, organic herbs and vegetables, and a variety of flowers. Their herd has grown to 24 head and counting, with more spring calves on the way. Also on the farm are two quarter horses for riding, another hobby. It's a busy life that offers plenty of material to shoot because with all its simplicity, farming is becoming a rare endeavor.
The youngest of Maureen's 3 children is in college, which has afforded her more time with her camera. She also teaches 5th grade at a local elementary school in her spare time. Stop in to the Artisans' Guild, Main Street., Oneonta, to see the framed photography and photo cards that depict the peaceful honesty of farm life.
