Lilian Miccio was born and raised in Montevideo , Uruguay , a South American country of largely European descent. Art has been a passion for her since she was a child, leading her to attend art school in Montevideo . Her work encompasses several mediums, including traditional canvas painting in both acrylic and oil, hand painted ceramic-ware and tiles in the time-honored Italian style known as Majolica painting, as well as traditional religious iconography on fabric.
She has participated in group art shows around the Catskill and a solo show in the "Cafe on Main" in Margaretville , NY .

Lilian says about her work, "In my art I like to capture the beauty of nature. I believe it is the most perfect expression in art. Different mediums allow me to express different ideas, from the mundane to divine. Painting is my passion and I believe that with a brush and some paint you can create a fascinating world."
