Lauren & Rhonda Epps began working in copper foilded stained glass in 2003. Together they took a class and became hooked on it. It went from a hobby to Art with Attitude. Rhonda enjoys drawing the designs or choosing the patterns along with types and colors of stained glass to use in those patterns. She loves cutting the glass and soldering it to the final piece. Lauren enjoys grinding the cut glass to make it fit like a puzzle. He also chooses the wood, stains, and makes the finished frames for each piece that requires them. The teamwork they share lends the personality to each completed piece of stained glass work. Both love knowing that the stained glass artwork can last for years and can be appreciated and or handed down from generation to generation.

In addition to stained glass they have worked in fused glass since 2004 and began lampworked glass beads in 2006. In fused glass, several pieces of glass of compatible coefficient of expansion are heated until they combine to make one piece of glass artwork. Depending on glass types and what temperature the glass is heated to gives them the varying end results. They say it's kind of like Christmas when you open the kiln, you never really know what you are going to get. Sometimes the end results are nothing like what you planned for, sometimes great, sometimes not so great.

Lampworked beads is the latest of their glass works. They are made by heating glass rods in the flame of a torch and bending them around a stainless steel mandrel. Various methods are used to design the final bead depending on the desired end result. Beads range from simple round to whimsical animals or people. Usually no two beads are exactly alike, as hard as one may try.
